For the friend or relative who is graduating this year, create a special memory book that will take them through all
of their educational accomplishments over the past few years. In your "School Years" photo book, combine photos of the graduate
in each grade with copies of special assignments they completed and notes from teachers or friends. Together, these precious
mementos will create a unique graduation gift that your favorite graduate will treasure for the rest of their lives.
To create your "School Years" graduation book, first locate a copy of the graduate's school
picture from each grade. Along with these, find their class picture, other event photos, and artwork or assignments that
were particularly memorable. Create digital copies of any paper items either by scanning them and saving them as high resolution
(300 dpi) .jpg files or by taking digital photos of the items. You can also contact your local photo finishing center to get items scanned and added to a CD or DVD for you.
Once you have a digital copy of the photos, keepsakes, artwork, and assignments, create a new book in Picaboo.
At the beginning of your book, add an introduction letter to your graduate. Follow your introduction with two to four pages
dedicated to each grade. Place each school portrait on the first page along with their class photo. Include notes
about their favorite color, friends, food, subject, ice cream flavor, etc. for each year. Then include the graduate's pictures
and artwork from that year of school.
When you have completed your "School Years" book, be sure to order a professionally bound copy at least two weeks before the big graduation
day to ensure delivery in time for the big day. After you have presented the album, share a free digital copy with grandparents
and other relatives who will enjoy remembering the graduate's childhood years. You can be sure
the graduate will have a wonderful time looking through their "School Years" memory book and recalling all of the hard work
that has led to this important graduation day.
