Picaboo provides you with the quickest and easiest way to turn your 8.5x11" hand scrapped pages into stunning digital albums
that can be easily shared with friends and relatives online for free or ordered as hardbound albums to give away.
To get started, scan the pages of your album
and save them as high resolution .jpg images into a folder on your desktop. The DPI should be set to 300
to guarantee the quality and resolution of the printed version. It may be necessary to re-set the DPI settings for your scanner
since many scanners are automatically set to 200 DPI.
After you have scanned the pages and saved them as .jpg images, open Picaboo and create a new book. Since you will be filling
an entire page with one picture, choose the "Bold and Beautiful" theme. When Picaboo prompts you to "Get Pictures," locate
the folder on your desktop and click on "Select All" to instantly select all of the pages from your scrapbook.
When you have finished adding the photos to your book, Picaboo will open in Edit mode. Click on one of the first pages of your
book to select it. Then locate the "Page Layouts" button on the left side your Edit screen. Scroll through the page layouts
to find a layout where one picture fills the entire page (This is a full-bleed layout and it should appear as an entirely
dark gray rectangle). If you have selected "Bold and Beautiful" as the theme for your book, the full-bleed layout will have
already been selected for most of the pages in your book. Next, simply drag and drop the scanned images of your scrapbook
album pages onto the pages of your Picaboo book.
In no time, you will have created a stunning digital version of your hand-scrapped album. You can now share your book with
friends and relatives using Picaboo's Share function or order a professionally bound copy.
